

CHONG YUET MING CULTURAL CENTRE
The Chong Yuet Ming Cultural Centre (CYMCC) was established in 2016 with the aim to provide an enabling platform for arts and cultural events in the campus.CYMCC managed by CEDARS, houses an auditorium, a studio and exhibition gallery. It is located at 3/F to 5/F above the Chong Yuet Ming Amenities Centre on the Main Campus.
The Yuet Ming Auditorium holding up to 400 seats, is the most modern and well-equipped proscenium theatre at HKU, which is designed for cultural performances, drama productions and various kinds of functions.Studio 303 with a capacity of 148 seats, is an ideal performing venue for experimental performances in variety art forms, such as drama, dance, musical performance and theatrical workshop.Exhibition Gallery is located at 5/F of CYMCC with approx. 134m2 of exhibition area, is an ideal place for student artwork display, posters and publicity presentation.
Cultural Management Trainee Programme (1-year programme) [CMT], currently the third year, is for fresh graduates who are interested in working in the arts and cultural industry. The trainee is responsible for liaising with users on production details, assisting in running and managing all performing and rehearsal venue of the centre, handling the publicity of CYMCC and more. Upon completion of the programme, the trainee should have acquired the necessary knowledge, skills and experiences to take up other job opportunities in the creative industry.
In order to provide an opportunity for CMT to demonstrate knowledge and skills acquired during the programme, they are required to initiate and organize at least one project related to art and culture. This Online Photo Exhibition is proposed by the current CMT (2019-2020), mentored by seniors of CYMCC, and she takes the full responsibilities for organizing the project, handling publicities and promotion, creating this website for online photo exhibition and communicating with related parties.
